Objectives

By implementing the project, we wanted to achieve the goals set in the European Development Plan: • Improving the quality and excellence of the School (through the processes of bringing the School's life and work closer to modern EU standards) • Vocational education in accordance with digital transformation for applicable student competencies on the labor market in Croatia and the EU • Increasing the number and quality of cooperation with production companies, institutions and vocational schools in Croatia and the EU • Internationalization of the School and encouragement of longer periods of international student mobility The overall objective of the project is to strengthen professional competences, acquire new knowledge and skills, increase personal development, employability and coherence; allowing students/future workers to move freely to study or work in EU. Constant progress and development of technologies require constant upgrading and education of students in response to the needs and trends of the future work environment and education of students with the latest production technologies, if we want a qualified and productive workforce that will be able to compete and be successful in the labor market.

Background

Currently, young people graduating from secondary vocational school in occupations related to the E&R sector lack the skills and competences necessary to achieve a quick and successful transition to employment. Existing barriers between the worlds of work and education need to be overcome to ensure that the qualifications they actually acquire have value for them in the labor market. The School's need to apply for a mobility project is thus reflected in the monitoring of new digital trends of DIGITAL EUROPE, such as Industry 5.0, which combines the creativity and innovation of the human mind with advanced, modern and digitized industrial processes (system personalization); cyber security in the provision of services that are of particular importance for the development of key social and economic activities, including the functioning of the digital market. Due to the lack of professional practice in the real sector, insufficient number of hours in School practicals, inadequate space for workshop exercises, the goal of the School through the mobility project was the development of concrete practical skills of students needed in the labor market, considering the speed of changes in the labor market with personalized requirements.
