By participating in this project we wanted to broaden our horizons, find out what we can do differently and better, learn to work on simulators and dolls for childbirth because within the project of Regional Competence Centers we should get new equipment for school health care cabinets.
We were motivated to design and participate in this project by the need to get better acquainted with European professional practices in midwifery teaching, since we are the only school in Croatia that educates students for this profession. The development of new technologies and the strategy of learning and teaching imposes the need for continuous professional training and professional development of teachers, and for professional teachers the need is even greater. They must improve in their teaching competencies and in their primary profession, which, especially in our field, medicine, is experiencing new knowledge and changes every day.
