Background

We wanted to offer our Construction department students, who attend craft programs, new insight and possibility to be trained about recent acknowledgments and practical skills applicable at national and international labour market. Due to rapid change of construction technology, plumbing assembly and equipping facilities, needs for permanent upgrading of applicable knowledge and skills are urgent and huge. To achieve these, vocational teachers, practical training instructors and mentors must be experts. Our goal was to offer our teachers new knowledge which help them to incorporate specific topics into their curricula, and to make their theoretic subjects more informative, life-like and interesting. Since the practical training at school is essential part of vocational education, we believed that permanent training of vocational subjects’ teachers and practical training instructors is of crucial importance for well organized, modern and professionally thought practical training at schools’ workshops. Also, we aimed to enable our students to, directly, through practical training abroad, master performing works in their area of expertise on a highly professional level, using modern materials, constructions and methods
