The main goal of the project was to improve the knowledge and skills of students needed to successfully face the demands of today's labor market, primarily in qualifications that are in high demand on the regional labor market (mechatronics technician, electronics mechanic, beautician, hairdresser), but also those surplus (economist), creating added value for students through the acquisition of those competencies that will increase their employability. Through all the activities of the project, an effort was made to encourage an interdisciplinary approach and improve digital and transversal skills, along with the mutual integration of technologies from different professions. We were guided by the principles of inclusiveness and ensuring equal opportunities for all students, and we encouraged the participation of students with fewer opportunities, taking into account their specific needs and possibilities. Additional goals of the project were the further development of foreign cooperation and the expansion of the partner network, the transfer of knowledge from mobility participants and accompanying teachers to other students and teachers, and increasing the attractiveness of vocational education through dissemination activities.
Vocational school Đurđevac implements educational programs for qualifications that are in high demand on the local and regional labor market. As most of these are programs for which it is essential to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills through professional practice, the implementation of the project aimed to provide students with professional practice in foreign companies and schools, which leads to high-quality learning outcomes. With this approach we wanted to overcome the current shortcomings in the material and personnel conditions of the school and thereby increase the employability of students and their competitiveness on the very dynamic labor market. For years, the school has been conducting a systematic analysis of the needs of the regional labor market, and the contents for students' professional practice are planned in accordance with the real needs of the economy. In addition, the project wanted to improve the implementation of practical teaching and the entire educational process in the school through the application of examples of good practice from foreign organisations, which would create solid foundations for the further development of the school in professional, organizational and material terms.
