By implementing this project, the school wants to develop the participants' communication skills, positive attitudes toward entrepreneurship, increase their self-confidence as well as their attractiveness and employability, especially taking into account that our students, due to the overall development situation in Hrvatska Kostajnica and its relative and absolute isolation, have far less contact with new trends in business and production. Teachers directly involved in project implementation improve their skills and competencies such as project management, practical curriculum organization and communication skills. In addition, we influence the process of strengthening social inclusion and equality, which we consider extremely important considering the circumstances and challenges from the environment. The project increases openness to new ideas and ways of thinking while stay in a stable multinational environment encourages cross-cultural awareness and respect for diversity. With all of the above, we directly influence school's visibility and attractiveness and develop positive attitudes toward European Union and its values.
Project is a school’s attempt to encourage change in the school’s environment which is burdened with: - weak economic development and weak entrepreneurial spirit, due to which the students have weaker financial background i.e. low incomes below the Croatia’s average, let alone the European Union’s average, and it also does not provide them with job security or the possibility of professional training - multi-ethnicity, mutual tolerance and understanding of different ethnic groups - decrease in number of inhabitants. In these circumstances, the primary mission of the school is to contribute to changes in overall trends of the area through the empowerment of participants, both professionally and personally, so that they can contribute to a gradual change in the environment.
