Our goal was to work on improving digital and communication skills and at the same time improving communication in foreign language through participation in structured courses and job shadowing. We wanted to get to know new digital tools that will help us with implementing and advertising programs. All of this should have helped us to aproach international dimension and create new partnerships with other organizations. By training our staff through participation in structured courses, we wanted to acquire competences through wich we would learn how to improve work through social networks and how to use new tools that will enable us to communicate better and connect better with our students in adult education but also with other employees in our institution. We wanted to achive that participants of mobilities, above all, learn to use new web tools, programs and softwares, use positive aspects of social networks in greater extent, but also stay aware of the dangers they bring. We expect that mutual connection between employees will improve through the acquisition of active listening, problem solving and selfreflection skills, their confidence will grow and they will be empowered to participate in new projects and partnerships.
Public Open University Samobor wants to respond to the needs of the local community for lifelong learning, develop the skills and knowledge of the institution's employees in order to respond better to the needs of local community and achive previously set goals. According to our strategic plan and the conducted SWOT analysis, several weaknesses were identified that we wanted to improve: insufficient digital literacy of employees, insufficient marketing skills an insufficient employee cohesion. Our vision was that POU Samobor would one day become a center of creation and an active factor in the growth of every individual. First step towards this is quality education for our employees, education that keeps up with modern times and that will enable employee motivation and satisfaction. It is important for us to develop skills such as digital competences through the use of communication technologies and social networks, improving communication in a foreign language and in general through improvement of interpersonal relations. Participation in the project would open up new opportunities for cooperaton, new acquaintances and partnerships on new projects. This would strenghten employess' awareness of the importance of EU projects.
