Objectives

By implementing this project we wanted to improve the quality of our courses and school by giving teachers knowledge and skills in classroom management, innovative teaching methods, and creative teaching methods as well as in the field of working with vulnerable groups. We wanted to achieve the school environment and knowledge of teachers that would provide students with the best learning results. We were also focusing on giving teachers who are working with us for a long time, the opportunity to expand their knowledge, and experience an intercultural learning environment via mobility to get inspired and more connected with other professionals. With attained knowledge, our teachers would then be in a position to improve our student's confidence and speaking skills in English as well as their motivation. Further on, we wanted to learn more about methodologies of working with migrants and other vulnerable groups, so as to integrate learned methods into our work with refugees. The final product was going to be an upgrade to our curriculum and result in better student satisfaction, as well as better satisfaction of teachers in our school.

Background

This was our first Erasmus+ project. The motivation for this project was to get involved in Erasmus+ projects altogether and enter the Erasmus+ community, as newcomers. We have been lurkers for quite some time, and finally that year we decided to act upon our needs and apply for the grants. In addition to getting into the Erasmus+ community, our motivation was to give teachers opportunities to learn new skills and improve their teaching styles as well as to give them the opportunity to meet a community of other teachers and connect with them. Our long term goal was to modernise the school curriculum and offer our students learning opportunities that would be based on contemporary learning principles to increase students' motivation and participation in the classroom.
