Objectives of this project are: • to understand the concept of EI better and importance of its implementation for success of volunteering projects, especially those with multicultural groups • to provide space for reflection and analysis of own EI competences and needs and those of the volunteers • to provide space for sharing insights and experience among participants regarding the implementation of EI in volunteering projects • to deeply analyze each of the components of EI, enable its understanding and provide tools and methods for development of competences within its frame: - Self-awareness - Self-regulation - Empathy - Motivation - Social skills • To provide participants with the support and guidance in creating specific plan of implementation of EI in daily work By implementing this project we want to promote and increase the popularization of emotional intelligence in youth work in general, but specifically in the context of international volunteering projects and work in multicultural surrounding. Improving EI competences of youth workers, leaders, coordinators and mentors will advance work of partner organizations and ensure better support for volunteers they host or send abroad. At the same time, by understanding better their own and emotions of other people and how to manage them, it will contribute to growing self-confidence and job satisfaction. By this project, except raising the awareness of importance of EI in international volunteering projects, we also want to provide participants with specific tools and methods they can use in their daily work which will further raise the quality of their work on a daily basis.
