Objectives of this project are: • Support understanding of labor market and business world better • Empower and support young people to become “their own bosses”-entrepreneurs, self-employed, freelancers • Support understanding and enable participants to be ready for the competences and jobs that will be demanded in the future • Explore the topic of freelancing in details and make it easier for young people to decide if they want to be freelancers or not • Explore, critically reflect at and share experience about different youth policies, strategies and programs at European level which can support young peoples (self)employment opportunities • Provide participants with first-hand experience to explore and understand co-working spaces and hubs by organizing field trip on World SME Day By this project we want to raise certain issues which we identified in our own lives and around us and which are related to employment and business. The most significant issues, for many of us in this project personally, are high youth unemployment rates, challenges and obstacles in finding a job. On the other hand, for those who have a job they often face unsatisfying working conditions and “exploitation” of working force while salaries are too low. IN addition, the problem is also demanding and exhausting work that does not allow to have balanced private life or is in the conflict with young people’s values and visions. On the other hand, by this project we will address and try to satisfy identified needs which include learning about opportunities that exist for young people to become self-employed, entrepreneurs, freelancers; developing new skills that can enhance (self)employment; getting the knowledge which can make “business world” more understandable. Most important need to be addressed is a need for young people to increase the opportunity to have satisfying and fulfilling job which gives them enough of freedom and which is in line with their own values and worldviews, but which, at the same time, provides financial security. This project will support young people and help them to understand business world and market trends, 21st century mindset approach to work. It will help them to develop and improve competence to be able to respond to those needs and support them on their way to become successful freelancers, social entrepreneurs, innovators etc. This project will, in first place, provide participants with clear information and make it understandable for them what is demanded at labor market and how business world function, with the accent on the future demands and opportunities for self-employment.
