Objectives

The project focused on bringing young people from different countries to share the stories of their country and its history, fairy tales and legends with each other. The young people found out that they share a lot of similarities and beautifun differences. The goal of the youth exchange was to inspire young people to appreciate and accept diversity in their surroundings and Europe as well. Because stories and fairy tales have been a part of our lives since childhood they are a good and familiar method of learning new information and broadening our horizons. The objectives of the project were realized through the youth exchange and the dissemination of the results: - to show the young people different cultures and their legends in a fun and an interactive way - to increase acceptance of other cultures and the appreciation of diversity in Europe - to help young people connect to their roots and develop a better understanding of their own culture - to see how different cultures use the same method to disseminate values to children - to remind ourselves of our childhood and which legends were important for us growing up and why The link to the objectives of Erasmus+ was reflected in the workshops and the values that the project was disseminating such as appreciation of diversity and increase understanding of foreign languages. Participants became more aware of interculturalism in Europe and our surrounding, EU values and they increased their motivation for further education. The project showed that diversity is a blessing and gives us more chances to learn about others and develop our own understanding of the world. With this project we addressed single-mindedness and discrimination and helped young people be more open to other religions, beliefs, ideas, and opinions.
