The Road Traffic School is recognizable for the opportunities offering to its students and teachers. Through the work and life experience gained in EU companies and vocational schools, we wanted to equip our students with all the skills and knowledge necessary for life and lifelong learning, thus increasing their chances of employability in the professions for which they are educated, securing a future in the local and global work market and with that contributing to the wellbeing of the community. Professional development of teachers in EU companies, vocational schools and universities will enable them to follow modern trends in the profession more easily and to transfer this knowledge to students. Project activities are in line with the objectives of international cooperation defined in the Internationalization Strategy for the period 2016-2021.
The project was implemented by the Road Traffic School from Zagreb. The project aimed to strengthen the connection between vocational education and the labor market in the transport and logistics sector and to promote work-based learning, thus ensuring better education for the profession of motor vehicle driver, road traffic technician and logistics and freight- forwarding technician. Through professional practice in EU companies, we wanted to facilitate the transition from education to the world of work for our students. In the increasingly complex working conditions in the transport and logistics sector, employers emphasize as a great value in terms of increasing the competencies of students - their future employees, the need for gaining previous work experience that will enable them to acquire work habits, adaptability to different work environments and work cultures. Through connecting with EU vocational schools in the transport and logistics field, we wanted to ensure the transfer and dissemination of knowledge, skills and good practice between our teachers and their colleagues from EU vocational schools.
