With the "Professional practice for new competencies" project, we wanted to increase the work-based knowledge and skills of our students, as well as to increase the competencies of teachers who teach vocational subjects in Technical school Sisak through production monitoring and professional training in companies. By conducting vocational training in companies, the students of Technical school Sisak acquire knowledge and skills that are competitive in the labor market today, and the teachers acquire competencies that enable them to monitor technological progress and thus the opportunity to transfer knowledge and skills based on the latest technologies to students. In addition to professional competencies, students and teachers will also acquire language competencies because communication will be in English, develop communication skills and increase cultural competencies.
The project was conceived as a project that will enable the acquisition of work experience and work-based knowledge and skills for students of our school, but also for teachers who teach vocational subjects at the school. At Technical school Sisak, students are educated in the fields of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, which provide the opportunity to continue their education at universities, but also the opportunity to actively participate in the labor market. In order to upgrade their knowledge and skills acquired at our school and gain work experience and work-based competencies, it is necessary to organize professional practice in companies so that students gain work experience and work-based competencies. That's why we launched this project, which we want to enable students to gain work experience and work-based competencies, which would ultimately make it easier for them to find employment after completing their education. One teacher of Technical school Sisak will participate in professional development in the CAD program (CATIA), which is closely related to the profession he teaches, and this way, he will upgrade his competencies and be able to convey the latest knowledge and skills to students and teachers.
