Objectives

We intended to raise the standards of education at our school. The project has aimed to provide our colleagues with methodology-related knowledge as well as develop their professional competence by transferring and implementing the new knowledge into practice. Our aim was to enable our colleagues to open up to the requirements and standards of the new national curriculum. We have wanted our colleagues to study about a new mathematics-related methodological toolkit. We also willing to introduce Activity based Math Teaching that is based on activity based learning where the learners are actively engaged in the learning process. We have meant to adapt beneficial practices used in foreign countries by enriching our core documents. We have intended to improve the language skills of our colleagues, including our school leaders. Our further aim was to increase the number of teachers taking part in the project. The project has also aimed to provide our colleagues with intercultural knowledge. Our objective has been for our colleagues to have the ability to use IT technology confidently in the teaching-learning process, Our goal has been to increase our colleagues’ level of motivation as well as prevent them indirectly from burnout.

Background

The present Erasmus+ project has sought to expand our teachers’ methodology-related knowledge as well as develop their professional competence with the aim of raising the standards of education at our school that has already started during the previous Erasmus+ project. Since the disseminations were very succesful we intend to reinforce the process. Our further aim is to seek not only the possibilities that provide our colleagues the professional developement, but the ones through which they gain experience by learning about good practices both in Hungary and abroad. Being a bilingual school our target is to nurture students who are capable of using the English language in a creative manner as well as are socially sensitive, thereby strengthening their active European citizenship.
