Our project aimed to enhance the professional work of Damjanich János Elementary School in Isaszeg through qualitative development. We aimed to strengthen the international dimension of the school and provide opportunities for high quality knowledge acquisition and advanced language skills. The objectives achieved by the project were to develop the language skills of the staff, to increase their professional and methodological knowledge, to establish partnerships and to lay the foundations for further cooperation and mobility.
In our town, the schools do not currently prioritize language education, multilingualism, or internationalism. However, there is a growing demand from parents for schools that offer more diverse educational opportunities, which can increase their children's chances of integrating into both domestic and European societies. Our school is committed to aligning with the goals of the European Union by continuously improving and renewing the quality of education. The school's leadership, teaching staff, and maintainer collaborated to determine the direction of development in strengthening the international dimensions of the school. Our goal is to enable our students to become fully-fledged citizens of our country and Europe, capable of competing in the European labor market. To achieve this, it is crucial to ensure high-quality knowledge acquisition and advanced language skills.
