Background

Teachers of Budapesti Komplex SZC Mándy Iván Secondary Technical School and Vocational School were involved in our project. Our students aged 14 to 25 are youngsters with mild intellectual disabilities, ADHD or autism. In most cases their cognitive deficits are accompanied by other sensory or physical disability symptoms, which is the reason why we aim their complex personality development. Our present project continued our previous supported projects “Stay at School I and II.”, so we could go on with our work, which reflect their names. Fifty-two teachers are in charge of 220 students of our vocational school, the average age of our teachers is around 43. Taking part in teacher training courses is supposed to help the preparation of our students with special educational needs for the challenges of the labour market. The project contributes to the professional and personal development of our teaching staff by preventing and reducing burnout.
