Intercultural/intergenerational education and (lifelong)learningInclusion - equityNew innovative curricula/educational methods/development of training courses

Objectives

We had a number of goals to achieve. We know that our tolerance for monotony on a daily basis is being tested and the application has been a great opportunity to break out of it, just by changing the physical and cultural context. Added to this are opportunities and the desire to e.g. develop methodological and non-formal competences, inclusive aspirations and expand international relations. By sharing the knowledge we gained, the professionalism of the school is enriched, for example in the field of institutional inclusion, but we also hope to set a good example for lifelong learning by our travelling colleagues who wish to be re-newed every so often.

Background

This was the second successful application in public education for our institution, and in the meantime we have been accepted into the accreditation programme. We applied because our school shares the values of the Erasmus plus programme. The accessibility of the competition also played a big role, as we are a secondary school in the capital and unfortunately we are not able to participate in many of the competitions. In addition, we can mobilise a larger number of colleagues and staff at a time, and the framework is sufficiently rigorous and consistent, yet can be changed if necessary within the given limits. Finally, and in line with our previous experience, this opportunity of school mobility can sufficiently motivate our colleagues after the activities and bring a sense of refreshment both professionally and individually, and thus actively enhance the modern, inclusive and supportive atmosphere of our school.
