Objectives

The need for the development of digital competences is continuous in the staff, because we see that the use of digital content is unavoidable for today's students. In addition, almost without exception, all textbooks are accompanied by digital content, the use of which requires confident digital knowledge from the teacher. When expanding our professional methodological knowledge, our goal is to show our students several different learning methods. Furthermore, we see that today's students have a much lower level of tolerance for monotony and attention, so they require new impulses even within one lesson to maintain their interest. For this, methodological training and acquiring foreign good practices are absolutely necessary. I would classify the trainings aimed at the development of leadership competencies and learning about good practices as methodological trainings, so that the current structure of our institution can be reconsidered with efficiency in mind due to the increased number of employees and infrastructure. Our multi-national environment and bilingual program require high-level English language skills from all our employees. Finding possible foreign partner institutions in order to share good practices.

Background

Our institution previously implemented several successful projects within the framework of the Erasmus program. In all cases, whether it was a school partnership program or an individual mobility project, the overall picture was very positive, not only from the part of the participants, but also during the disseminations all the other colleagues always left with a good feeling, enriched with useful ideas, and several new people were encouraged to become active participants in a new project. During the planning phase of the project, we assessed the needs of the staff and harmonized them with the institutional needs to decide the areas we would like to focus on. The following areas were chosen: the development of the digital, methodological and English language competences of the staff, improvement of management skills and to observe good practice as well as if possible expand our existing foreign partner network by looking for new opportunities for cooperation and job shadowing opportunities.
