Objectives

The four main project specific objectivew were the following: 1) Deepening our connection to nature, getting to know such methods, integrating these in our educational practice. We wanted to participate in courses that emphasize this, where our senior trainers could further develop their professional and personal competences. 2) Increase our methodologies of arttherapy methods – getting to know new methods, such participating in courses that work with visuality or dramatic approaches. Integrating the learnt methods in our educaitonal practice. 3) Increase our group of trainers – in order to function effectively on a local level, and organize courses that are unrelated to our project work, we need a group of trainers, some of whom are always available, and who are promoting high quality work and are similar in their approach to our foundation. 4) As side goals, we wanted to support burnout prevention of our colleagues, as well as have them gain experiences and potentially new connections, and also develop their language skills.

Background

Our main goal in Rogers Foundation is the promotion of the perseon-centred, experience-based educational approach, and the training of professionals in this area. Our profile is educational innovation, which requires us to constantly look for nem methodologies. We believe that constant development and learning is necessary for high-quality work. With this project we wanted to work with three main organisational need: Connectin self-awareness, bodyawareness and nature: Connection to nature is partly based on connection to our natural self, our bodies. Today it is obvious, that this topic is highly importan ton a global level. We need nature-loving people, who are emotionally resilient. Introduing educational innovation: in our KA2 projects, our role is often development of training materials, either as coordinators or as partners. This is why it is important to get to know enw methods, and introducing them to our educational practice. Transferability: One of our key areas is schools educaiton, but we are active in adult education and youth education as well, and also with arttherapy methodologies. Because of this, our goal was to get to know methods that work well in one area, and trasnfer them to the other areas.
