Objectives

Our goals to achieve were: 1. Strengthening our presence on the international stage: • Our students have become more open-minded through short and long-term professional internships, they understand professional foreign language, and have acquired usable expertise. • The language and methodological competencies of our vocational instructors have improved through collaboration with foreign colleagues and mutual knowledge sharing. 2. The participation of our instructors in training and job shadowing ensures the transmission of European values, an open mindset, and the endeavour to impart up-to-date knowledge. It serves as an example to students of lifelong learning. The multiplication of acquired knowledge has an impact on the entire institution. 3. The good practices learned during job shadowing lead to the expansion of the instructional, pedagogical, and methodological toolkit. We develop our students' entrepreneurial skills and soft skills in an experiential environment. 4. Over the years, the relationship between our school and partners improves during the mobilities, which in turn leads to an improvement in the quality of professional internships through tailored learning outcomes and the development of evaluations.

Background

During the mobilities, our instructors gained experience and with the acquired knowledge, based on international VET trends, and the integration of European good practices into our training program, we could prepare our students well for dynamically changing market challenges. Owing to teacher trainings, their methodological culture enriched. Our instructors and students gained valuable experience in different companies, they developed in professional activities, got to know corporate organizational methods, contents, and work cultures. Besides the improvement of foreign language communication skills, opportunities were provided for acquiring foreign work experience. Our goal was to involve disadvantaged students, promote acceptance and cultural learning. Through our Erasmus application, the valuable knowledge gained abroad multiplied, as our instructors' experiences were incorporated into the preparation for theoretical and practical professional exams, and we observed the same with the students participating in the professional internships. With our application, we aimed to further expand and deepen our network of international connections, allowing our institution to further enrich its expertise and real workplace experiences.
