We sought to advance our ability to create an inclusive environment for students of all races, ethnicities and creeds. To learn and implement strategies to ensure no dichotomy of performance in academic and inclusion of new immigrants into our school and native Irish student body. To furnish details of our observations and experiences of best practice and to adapt our ethos going forward to create a more inclusive environment. To share our findings with our colleagues going forward. To reintroduce the teaching of Spanish as our primary European language. To observe best practice in the implementation of their language teaching of new immigrants in relation to implementing it into our new Primary Language Curriculum. To share learning experiences in our Sports, Arts and Music culture in tandem with this project. To create an exchange of cultures between our country and our Spanish partners so as to enrich the relationship between us.
We applied for this project to help modernise, develop and innovate our educational operation in Ballyroan BNS to ensure best practice today and going forward. We intended to improve and learn from our partner schools in Europe to enhance educational opportunities for us as educators and for the benefit of our students. We strove to improve, innovate and enact best practice in collaboration with our European partners.
