1. DIFE had a goal to provide a unique and quality educational experience for learners in our courses. A key part of achieving this was constantly enhancing our curriculum offer. This was done by offering European work mobilities through the Erasmus+ programme. 2. There are limited work experience opportunities regionally for our learners, this project aided and enhanced DIFE work placement opportunities for learners. 3. DIFE wanted to attract more students into courses that are at risk of being economically and socially marginalized. 4. By participating in Erasmus+ mobilities the college improved course offerings by giving people locally the best opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge they need to work both at home and abroad.
This was DIFE first Erasmus + project. The college applied for this project as we saw a need to provide opportunities to promote multiculturalism so that all the ethnicities and cultures of the student population in our college could be recognized. The college continues to enhance and develop an inclusive campus that embraces all and finds ways to celebrate differences in the classroom, social events, and the greater community. This project helped to promote active European citizenship which is in line with the college ethos. In addition, this project provided the college with an opportunity to offer more work experience opportunities to learners, as work placements in the local area can be difficult to find, especially post covid-19.
