Enniscorthy Enterprise & Technology Centre wanted to improve the quality of its education and work experience that it provides to its students and business clients in the Wexford region. The key activities that Enniscorthy Enterprise & Technology Centre wanted to achieve in this project were as follows: 1. To improve awareness of different cultures. 2. To identify the skills which are most needed in creating a multi-cultural approach to learning. 3. To enhance professional teaching competences in the area of multicultural training. 4. To provide more enriching educational experiences to our VET students. 5. To increase the relevance of our VET courses in the local and European labour market. 6. To share management education systems and procedures. 7. To disseminate widely lessons learnt.
Enniscorthy Enterprise & Technology Centre applied for this project to add to the knowledge that was already gained from a previous application. Enniscorthy Enterprise & Technology Centre education and training goal through this project was multifold. It was to gain knowledge in developing new training programmes, it was to get a better understand of the Erasmus practices with our partner organisation IES Mar de Alboran. It was also to improve the quality of our student placement, so that our students would gain an open mind about travel and different cultures. All this was done by the exchange of good practices and experience in specialised content in our courses. Enniscorthy Enterprise & Technology Centre was hoping that this work based learning mobilities could enhance sustainable transnational cooperation. This partnership was part of a large strategic plan to make EETC an organisation that leads international competences for work placement and for social integration of different cultures. It will lead to the building of relationships which can be expanded on in the future.
