Protection, security and broad participation have been at the top of UMFI's projects last years and in connection with UMFI‘s policy. UMFÍ aims to always become better, make good work even better and have all participants in mind. Objectives of this project are three, we want to learn from our friends in Norway (VIKEN) because they have done amazing job when it comes to protection and security. Viken have also increased participation of various marginalized groups of young people and specially young people with different needs. VIK also wants to learn from UMFÍ when it comes to the Icelandic system of funding the voluntary youth-sector, opportunities and threats and results of preventive work (drinking and smoking) among young people in Iceland. We know that this visit will have significant impact on both partners. Partners are constantly seeking new and effective ways to meet the demands of the society, increase protection and security of participants and increase opportunities of all participants. The target group of this project is primarily young people.
