The objectives envisaged by the sixty nine mobilities, teaching exchange, staff training, short-, and long-term mobility, are the following: 1. Strengthen the active participation of teachers, experts, and students in international and European cooperation. 2. Improve art teaching and practical methods, strategies, and techniques. 3. Increase progress, dynamic, innovative, creative, and qualitative art teaching, design, and methods in line with the objectives and policy of the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts. 4. Encourage ongoing teaching and professional development to take advantage of opportunities to pursue lifelong learning and continuing education in international and European cooperation, with the main emphasis on increasing and broadening the teachers' knowledge, experience, and expertise. 5. Facilitate students' access to art methods and techniques, new technologies, and strategies. 6. Facilitate the access of students to further art education, innovation and professional development abroad. 7. Contribute to the qualitative execution and implementation of projects, workshops, creative art, and teaching classes.
The overall project aimed to enhance the art teaching strategies and approaches, with a particular focus on those applied to the textile, drawing/illustration, painting, and ceramic departments, but also to facilitate the students internships and practice abroad for future collaborations and professional development. The project outcomes are equally reflected in the teaching practice and students' skills. MÍR had a broader collaboration with very diverse partners across Europe such as Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Estonia, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal and Sweden. The teaching exchange of professionals and experts from abroad, the MíR teacher training abroad, and the short- and long-term mobility of students brought creative and innovative teaching approaches and new art skills and abilities to students. And to mention a few: textile design and digital weaving, knitting, pattern design, industrial ceramic, Rembrandt graphic, ceramic 3D printing, children's books illustration, and more.
