Objectives

Through the international work-based training experience, the "CULT" project achieved the following objectives related to the participants: acquisition and/or development of technical/professional competencies, basic (linguistic and digital) and soft skills (in particular those relating to the macro areas of dealing with, diagnosing and relating); increased sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, self empowerment and self-esteem; strengthening of intercultural awareness and active European citizenship; increase Career Management Skills to independently manage their future training and work choices; strengthening of "job competitiveness", employability and improvement of career prospects at the end of the education and training path.

Background

The "CULT" project, promoted by the VET school "IPSSAT Chinnici" (Nicolosi / CT) in a Consortium with other VET schools (tourism and hospitality sectors), provided to 182 STUDENTS (38 of whom with special needs) in initial vocational training of the fourth classes the opportunity to carry out a European mobility experience of 1 month in tourism organisations and companies based in the partner Countries of the project: Spain, Malta, France, Germany. The "CULT" project integrated orientation and training actions (in formal and informal contexts) to strengthen, renew and put into practice the knowledge, skills and competences of the participants. The period of mobility abroad (in particular the international internship) represented an important aspect for the construction of the professional and personal identity of the participants: a first contact with the world of work to understand its working and relational dynamics in a transnational context different from the one of the home Country.
