The specific objectives pursued by the “Volta-De Gemmis” School through the project have been: - to enrich the vocational study plans for students, providing them the opportunity of acquire hard, linguistic and soft skills through an internship experience abroad in the sector related to their field of study; - to educate teachers who, thanks to the improvement of ICT skills, could design more engaging teaching tools for students (with a particular reference to disadvantaged students); - to make teachers able to introduce a learning integrated with disciplinary contents in foreign languages using the CLIL methodology for the teaching of scientific and technical subjects; - to enhance the work-based teaching, through the consolidation of a local and international network of enterprises, and the innovation of orientation services for students and out-going students; - to continue the internationalization strategy of the School in order to consolidate its participation in European dimension projects.
The “IN.C.L.U.S.ION.–INtegrate Competences to aLlow stUdentS’ integratION” project has been designed and implemented by the High School “Volta-De Gemmis” of Bitonto(BA), in order to contribute to the efficiency of VET education in the school address of fashion, agriculture and pharmaceutical chemistry. In particular, the project worked on some areas for improvement that emerged in the RAV 2018/2019: - need for students to gain practical experience of how the disciplines studied at school can be reflected in the workplace; - updating of the teaching skills of the teaching staff toward the modernization of the teaching environment through the implementation in the use of ICT and the use of more modern teaching methodologies capable of favoring the integration of disadvantaged students; - pursuit of the school's internationalisation strategy initiated through previous Erasmus+ experiences (such as:“S.T.A.R.C.”,“S.M.A.R.T. PUGLIA”, “ R.EU.S.E”), in order to raise teaching to European educational standards, and to strengthen the network of international contacts to give continuity to exchanges of experience and training initiatives for students and teachers.
