The extended duration of the project, the collaboration of project partners and the motivation of the school staff and learners, has allowed the achievement of the specific objectives of "DR.E.S.S. CODE": 1)To encourage learners' motivation through learning-mobilities abroad, in order to achieve and strengthen technical skills in the manufacturing, commercial and maintenance fields; 2)To enhance students' soft skills through work experiences in a multicultural, stimulating, modern and innovative working and living environment; 3)To support the in-service training of teachers through job shadowing activities in Europe; 4)To implement staff skills in terms of transnational project management and activation of high-performance job-oriented learning paths; 5)To improve the learning environment by enhancing teachers' skills in terms of inclusive educational strategies and the use of ICT in the teaching process; 6)To reduce school drop-out through cooperation activities at local and European level, for the implementation of a learning environments in line with the European standards, as well as updating school curricula with more effective work-based activities.
The project "DR.E.S.S. CODE- Driving teachers and Students to textile industry’s CODE" presented by the VET School "Cavour-Marconi-Pascal" of Perugia stems from the needs of the School to strengthen and to continue the Erasmus+ internationalization strategy, started in 2014-2015, to respond to the need for improvement, related to the reduction of school drop-out and to the academic failure of learners of classes III and IV (Industry and Crafts, Maintenance and Technical Assistance and Commercial Services curricula) and the ability of teachers of the professional disciplines to better manage EU projects, WBL activities and inclusion, to align the school offer with the demands of the labour market, through training experiences in Europe. Due to the second pandemic wave, the management of the project, which started on the 01/10/2020, encountered several difficulties and interruptions, so it was necessary to ask the INAPP for an extension of the deadline, initially scheduled on 30/09/2021. The validation of the new project deadline has allowed the school to extend the project's duration for a further 12 months (with a new deadline on the 02/11/2022) and complete all the mobility activities, although many of them have been rescheduled.
