They have, as well, gained visibility in the European education and training scene by continuing their planning activities under the Erasmus program; - Legacoop Agroalimentare Toscana has been able to increase its vocational orientation activities, as well as the development and consolidation of relations between the academic and productive worlds.
"DE.M.E.T.R.A. - DEveloping Mobility for European cooperaTion in pRecision Agriculture" (code no. 2020-1-IT01-KA102-008125) is a good practice of transnational mobility promoted within the Erasmus PRO initiative by I.I.S. "Leopoldo II di Lorena," as the Lead Partner of the VET Consortium formed by five Tuscan schools (ISIS "A. Vegni," IPSAAABI "B. De Franceschi," IIS "A. Fanfani - A. M. Camaiti," IIS "Giotto Ulivi," IIS "Carrara-Nottolini-Busdraghi") and Legacoop Agroalimentare Toscana. The project, which lasted 32 months (from 01.11.2020 to 30.06.2023), involved 79 students (instead of 80 budgeted) from the IV° classes of the Schools in the Consortium and 20 recent graduates from Agricultural, Agri-food and Agro-industry School Institutes in the Tuscany region who participated in training internships of, respectively, 30 and 90 days at companies operating in France, Malta and Spain. The overall objective of "DE.M.E.T.R.A.," common to all consortium members, was to enable the young participants to acquire multidisciplinary skills (agronomy, information technology, agro-mechanics and economics) useful for increasing their career prospects and ensuring their inclusion in the national and European agricultural labor market.
