The main objective of the project was for the participants to develop general and specific technical skills in the area of promotion and enhancement of the territory and heritage, and contextually, linguistic and transversal skills for an active participation in democratic society, a real intercultural understanding and the transition towards the labour market. The target participants were recent graduates, newly qualified students within a calendar year from graduation, and students attending the last year of technical and vocational institutes. The calls for the recruitment of the candidates were addressed to residents of the Lombardy Region and in a "transversal" way with respect to the institutes of origin to give mobility opportunities to those who would not have had any. The intention was to strengthen the synergy of the network of local stakeholders, as well as strengthen and expand the transnational partnership to give ever greater training opportunities to young people. The objective of the project was also to improve management procedures, optimize processes and increase and improve the monitoring activities of the participants. Particular attention was intended to be placed on the implementation and recognition of training courses both through the use of the tools provided by ECVET, and through the certifications issued (certificates of attendance, Europass Mobility), and through clear assessment tools of the developed professional skills, but also of the entrepreneurial, social and civic ones, essential to ensure participants resilience and ability to adapt to changes. For the recognition of the mobility of newly graduated and newly qualified students, the project envisaged collaboration with a Vocational Training Center recognized by the Lombardy Region which handled the validation and certification of the skills acquired and assessed abroad. In selecting the participants, Mistral intended to aim at the objectives of combating gender, racial and ethnic discrimination and inclusion. In the pre-departure training modules, the participants were sensitized and urged to address the issues of environmental sustainability. The candidacy and selection procedures and communication with the participants were organized through the use of IT tools of various types both for an ever greater systematization of the procedures and to accustom the participants to the use of digital tools. Sustainable means of transport (bus and train) were used for the travel to some destinations (Perpignan and Berlin) The staff mobilities were carried out with the aim of promoting the continuous development of the professionalism of our employees.
"European Landscapes 3 -Training for tourism and culture" was the continuation and enhancement of two previous projects in the field of promotion and enhancement of the territory developed thanks to the VET Mobility Charter of which it shared objectives, target groups, number of envisaged mobilities and management methods. Mistral is engaged in issues relating to the labor market, training, counseling and sustainable tourism. Our main objective is to contribute to the cultural and economic growth of the territory, to its enhancement and to the inclusion in the social fabric of young people and disadvantaged people. In pursuing this objective, Mistral pays particular attention to the sustainable development of the area in which it operates. The project pursued the objective of creating opportunities for sustainable development in the Lombardy region by giving the possibility to young graduates, newly qualified and students attending the final years of technical and vocational institutes to develop professional and linguistic skills in a European dimension in the field of valorisation of the territory and sustainable tourism. This is in line with Mistral's medium-long term strategy which provides for activities aimed at contributing to the development of quality, modernization and internationalization of young people's training by offering internships abroad which allow students to strengthen their skills in perspective of the development of professionalism in support of the local economic, tourist and cultural system. Mobility linked to professional training abroad bridges the gap between the skills necessary for the sustainable development of the territory and those possessed at school level, strengthens national and transnational networks through the exchange of good practices and experiences. The project was also designed in order to strengthening and expanding the previous transnational partnership both in terms of number of partners and for the addition of new destination countries (the project included 16 partners for 11 destination countries), also thanks to a new collaboration with Assocamerestero; The strengthening of the partnership also makes reciprocal activities possible, in which the transnational partner entities of the destination countries in turn become sending entities in Italy with a view to developing Mistral's hosting activities. On one hand, Mistral's experience facilitates the activities of the transnational partners and, on the other hand, allows the use of management and monitoring tools and their enhancement for greater project governance and greater effectiveness of the processes aimed at guaranteeing the quality of the transnational mobility. This experience allowed us to successfully complete the project, despite it was developed in the pandemic era and, in the last 8 months, in a situation of tensions in Europe following the invasion of Ukraine.
