Background

The project perfectly fits into the school's international strategy, according to the VET Charter 20214/2020, which was later confirmed and reaccredited for the new Erasmus Plus VET 2021/2027. Thanks to the project, the Institute intended to confirm its strategic role within international professional training and the organization of mobility abroad, in the Livorno area and its province. In fact, the project was an important opportunity to offer the possibility of carrying out internships in international contexts to its students and recent graduates, to enhance their curricula and contribute to their growth through the development of technical, personal and linguistic skills. Furthermore, the project allowed for a painless handover, given the retirement of the head of the international sector, thanks to the procedures implemented in past years and during this project, which allowed the creation of a new management staff within the Institute for international project management.
