The objectives of the Project have been the following ones: • to respond to the need to promote the training/education of people able to act in economic and work contexts, both national and international, which are subject to continuous and fast changes • to promote the development of communication and interpersonal skills • to foster the acquisition and/or improvement of innovative competences in the use of ICT, aimed also at promoting and enhancing territories with a view of sustainability and inclusion, as requested by the European Union • to promote the European citizenship and the awareness of the European identity, imtegrated with the national one • to strenghten the participants’ multilingual competences • to foster the development of entrepreneurship competences, creativity and sense of initiative
The IIS CASSATA GATTAPONE has begun carrying out training activities at an international level more than thirty years ago, and these activities are now one of the pillars of the overall School Educational Plan, because all the training actions have as a primary aim to contribute to promoting in the participants the acquisition of 8 Key Competences for Lifelong Learning recommended by the European Union; the implementation of mobility projects for the realisation of work placements is a very effective strategy in order to foster the development of those competences, with very positive effects for the personal and professional fulfilment of the participants.
