"B.E.T." aims to impact on the improvement of individual participants' skills and the growth of institutions, with a resonance that does not stop at the beneficiaries alone, but extends to: non-participating school staff, students and families. We were interested in: the implementation of learning strategies and innovative methodologies aimed at promoting cooperative learning to help students to be more successful at school and at work; the strengthening of European key competences such as intercultural competences, communication in foreign languages, learning to learn, spirit of initiative; the enhancement of CLIL methodologies.
One of the main objectives of the Institute is the strengthening of the European dimension, through the implementation of projects aimed at the exchange of best practices and know-how on innovative teaching methods aimed also at making its learners aware of the opportunities deriving from being an European citizen. "BET" was born as a direct response to meet the needs outlined in the European Development Plan of the I.I.S. "P.Mazzone". Our institute has applied to intervene on some of the critical issues identified in the 2018-29 RAV, especially the school results in Italian, English and Mathematics; to implement innovative teaching methodologies to limit the rate of school failure and foster students' academic success; to improve European citizenship skills.
