Objectives

The objectives were three: - incorporating CLIL modules into the School's Educational Plan in the medium and long term, in accordance with Law 107/2015. The aim was to fully implement it; - renewing the teaching methodology, which tended to be still quite traditional and self-referentian, also due to the age of teachers. The renewal was to be achieved through the implementation of innovative learning environments and collaboration with educational institutions focused on the development of skills, also through the use of technology. - Creating a network of international relationships to promote the internationalization of the school.

Background

The need to make the institute more European and international and to promote staff mobility was strongly felt within the school and arose from the necessity to: - foster pedagogical innovation through collaboration with other educational institutions;. - improve intercultural understanding;. - promote European citizenship among staff and students; - establish a network of international relationships that would enable the development of short and long-term projects. The application was based on the "Manifestazioni di interesse" ("Expressions of Interest") received from the staff following the publication of an internal circular letter. The Interviews of the school Principal and the contact person with the teachers and the staff in general, combined with the study of the Three-Year Educational Offer Plan (PTOF) and the Self-Evaluation Report (RAV), led to the identification of three objectives. It should be noted that the Liceo had attempted to access Erasmus funds previously, but the score obtained had not been sufficient. The various attempts had allowed the refinement and improvement of the application.
