Objectives

Our project therefore had a threefold objective: 1. try to amalgamate educational achievements by reducing differences in achievement, 2. support students in difficulty, 3. stimulate and motivate those who are more capable. To achieve these objectives, we have chosen training courses or observation internships at other schools that favor scholastic well-being and/or promote creativity and personalization of teaching. As far as excellence is concerned, the goal we have set ourselves is to offer all our students the opportunity to experience varied and motivating experiences to support their future choices. Through mobility abroad and specific courses we therefore wish to strengthen our design skills, welcome innovative ideas capable of innovating our way of teaching also to encourage the acquisition of digital skills recommended by DigComp, the European Framework for the development of skills for digital citizens. We want to improve everyone's academic well-being by enabling our students, each with their own learning styles, to find a viable way to identify their place in the world.

Background

As specified in the Erasmus funding application presented in 2020, our training needs arise from the analysis of the data emerging from the RAV (self evaluation report). In particular, from the analysis of INVALSI data we realized that there are more and more important gaps between students within the same class as well as within the different branches of study (no less than five) of our high school. Secondly, the presence in our school of a consistent number of excellent students emerges, certified by the Eduscopio-Fondazione Agnelli data on success in post-diploma courses. These are students who usually participate in the most stimulating proposals of our training offer (Model European Parliament, Hackathon, Debate, etc.), convinced that a more engaging and challenging teaching is the only truly training and up to future challenge. This target needs personalized and inclusive strategies, capable of involving and adequately stimulating them. Finally, we considered the constant increase in recent years of students with special educational needs (SEN), who increasingly enroll in our high school, as a significant figure, considering it welcoming and motivating.
