The objectives of the project were: - Enhancing students' key skills in subjects such as Italian, English, and scientific and technological disciplines. This has been achieved through the adoption of innovative teaching methodologies by the teachers. - Increasing the use of innovative laboratories within the Institute and proposing new techniques for the exploitation of existing laboratories or the creation of new ones. - Promoting the internationalization of the Institute and its staff, aiming at providing students with international learning environments that foster intercultural dialogue and transnational mobility. The project aimed at strengthening the education and the key skills of students, simultaneously promoting the professional growth of the teaching staff and the international perspective of the institute. The areas of intervention have included methodological and teaching aspects, technological aspects regarding laboratories, as well as linguistic aspects to enhance the education provided through the implementation of innovative teaching methodologies coherent with the goals of the Three-year Educational Plan.
We chose to participate in this project because, through a previous Erasmus+ KA1 project focused on inclusion, CLIL, and the use of technology in education, we had directly experienced the benefits of innovation and internationalization. The fulfillment of that Erasmus+ project had made us adopt new teaching methodologies that significantly contributed to improving the quality of education. During a meeting in Rome with the National Agency, we had had the opportunity to further explore the future visions of education, broadening our perspective on the importance of internationalization and collaboration at the European level. Thanks to the commitment of the school principal, the institute is already involved in teacher training initiatives and the establishment of educational laboratories, demonstrating a strong dedication to innovation and continuous improvement. The Erasmus+ Commission had analyzed the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), identifying the strengths and weaknesses of our school for the Erasmus+ KA1 STEaM project. In summary, we have applied because we believe it represents an extraordinary opportunity to continue our journey of innovation, internationalization, and the improvement of education.
