Background

The ALICE project was born to respond effectively to the challenge launched by l. 92/2019, which introduced the transversal teaching of ed. civic education, including environmental and sustainable development education and digital citizenship education. Being a completely innovative area and on which the school had never yet focused systematic attention, the Institute has identified two training needs: - Lack of specific methodological skills to ensure the achievement of the learning objectives relating to the new skills of active, sustainable and digital citizenship and therefore the need to acquire new tools, methods and innovative approaches; - Inadequacy of the Institute's management and organizational system to respond concretely to the challenges of active, sustainable and digital citizenship, in particular in relation to environmental sustainability, and therefore the need to understand which school policies have been adopted in other European countries to guarantee, for example, energy saving, plastic free, the availability of structures to guarantee the adoption of a healthy food lifestyle, as well as which strategies to implement practices
