Objectives

The key objectives that the school had set out to achieve are as follows: 1. implement knowledge on the issues of eco-sustainability and respect for the environment; 2. create a network of international contacts; 3. increase the percentage of teachers involved in training on environmental sustainability issues in a global key; 4. improve the language and teaching skills of school staff and enhance the quality of teaching and learning; 5. implement the European dimension of teaching through the CLIL methodology thus improving students' linguistic skills through the proposal of interdisciplinary and multilingual teaching contents; 6. increase motivation and satisfaction in one's daily work; 7. promote European mobility activities for pupils and staff.

Background

From the analysis of the Self-Assessment Report (RAV) and the Institute's staff training plan, elaborated through the survey of the staff's training needs, precise indications emerged regarding the need to open the school to the local area. The need for interaction with the outside was highlighted, understood as a physical and virtual space, as a national and international environment. Furthermore, in our Institute there is an increase in the percentage of non-Italian-speaking students and this determines the need on the part of the staff to make their educational action as international and inclusive as possible. The project was therefore born from the need to enrich the training and professional opportunities of the staff working at the school and to influence the internationalization processes of the school curriculum, not exclusively with respect to the issues of environmental sustainability.
