Among the most relevant objectives of our project we highlight in particular that of increasing the professionalism of teachers through contacts with schools in other European countries and job shadowing actions that allow comparison, sharing and dissemination of innovative and skills-based teaching projects, integrated into the Plan of the Institute's offer, cooperating in the creation of concrete final products. Furthermore, the project aims to train expert teachers capable of promoting teaching actions and being active and pro-active in the linguistic projects of the institute through the development of skills-based units; the preparation of evaluation rubrics; the management of diversified materials, tools and communication channels; the use of innovative teaching strategies such as augmented reality and virtual reality; the preparation and use of observation grids, focuses and targeted tests in order to monitor and verify the impact on the professional competence of the teachers involved. Another important objective is represented by the linguistic enhancement in English for teachers of the various orders to create a network of exchanges of good practices between the cooperating institutes, in a European and international dimension of lifelong learning and training also aimed at perfecting the teaching of a subject in English. Finally, the project aims to train and develop the digital skills of teachers.
We believe that teacher training and the sharing of innovative practices from an educational and didactic point of view within a broader comparison with European colleagues, in addition to allowing the strengthening and professional growth of the individual teacher, takes on a central role for our school, to guarantee students an expansion of training and educational opportunities and to promote greater awareness of European citizenship for their educational-professional future. This is also in consideration of the socio-cultural context in which our Institute is located, which in itself does not offer many opportunities for stimulation and growth to the children. For these reasons, the participation in this project takes on a fundamental role from our point of view.
