Objectives

The implementation of the project was aimed at structuring inclusive and intercultural educational paths. The teachers felt the need to participate in specific training activities in order to enhance managerial skills, improve their professional profile, modernize and internationalize their educational methods and become, therefore, protagonists in the construction of the cultural identity of the school in a European dimension. The project was oriented on two fronts, the first one relating to disciplinary, linguistic and technological updating and the other relating to professional training in a new entrepreneurial and managerial perspective. With a view to strengthening learning in a European area and enhancing transversal skills, which ensure effective synergy between the various fields of education, there was a need for training courses that would contribute to enhancing performance and skills. fundamental, promoting excellence, quality and innovation and that could give a positive input for the activation of evaluation and validation processes. It was therefore necessary to start a process that would pay attention to aspects of European nature, strengthening the linguistic-methodological aspect with the primary aim of creating teaching oriented towards collaboration with other European countries for the purpose of sustainable and inclusive cross-border cooperation, especially in relation to migratory phenomena, also for the purpose of integrating students with non-Italian nationality. The primary objective in our school is that teachers acquire language certifications recognized according to the CEFR in order to develop a strategy for internationalization, manage activities with various European partners, network with colleagues in Europe, make sure that the projects developed have certain standards of quality to allow all students to obtain internationally recognized certifications. To achieve these quality standards, the institute needs to implement new training processes aimed at enhancing management skills in the organizational, social and relational fields. It becomes necessary to promote and develop the professional and linguistic-methodological skills of teachers also in relation to the main aspects of the common European framework of reference for languages and on the new concepts of assessment, with the aim of guaranteeing the maturation of a complex, multilingual linguistic competence , which facilitates the learning of multiple languages and encourages individuals to take part in increasingly common cultural interactions in today's society and in schools. In order to educate students to grow in a European dimension and start a path of European breadth in the school, building a new educational dimension, we believe it is necessary to open up to new methodological horizons and new contents that enrich the curricula of the institute and improve the performance of students also for participation in races and competitions. The implementation of the project develops a new cultural awareness, and is the necessary tool to insert the school in a network of international contacts, to build a European dimension within the teaching / learning process and finally to realize a macro competence with hooks both to the transversal and disciplinary sphere because it can be transferred to a wide range of contents and contexts, an unavoidable objective now in the reference horizon of the key competences for lifelong learning that can only be nourished through continuous contact with educational agencies and with the educational institutions of other countries of the E.U.

Background

The primary purpose of our Project, starting from the centrality of the person, is to initiate a process of transformation and implementation of educational activities to create an educational learning environment in which pupils are at ease with themselves and with others. The fundamental objective for our school is to acquire skills, abilities and innovative knowledge to guarantee our students an integral education, so that they can become citizens able to make informed and responsible choices and possess the skills and competences necessary for their own personal fulfillment, well-being and social inclusion. The teaching staff feels the need for more in-depth training to better integrate teaching with new technologies. For this reason, training courses abroad ensured professional improvement, cultural exchange and sharing of good practices. There is a need to open the school to an innovative international perspective with the aim of acquiring the tools to initiate learners towards the construction of a tangible and open European citizenship. We considered it appropriate to orient professional training towards ICT, CLIL and inclusive teaching methodologies and, at the same time, implement the skills and competences of Project Management, also through moments of comparison and exchange of good practices in the European context. The teachers required a complete training that allowed them to acquire didactic and / or methodological tools and innovative disciplinary, transversal and organizational skills in order to guarantee the academic and educational success of the students, social inclusion and job prospects at national and international level. The Institute aims, in daily teaching practice, to carry out innovative interventions of education, training and education appropriate to the operational context, the demand of families and the specific characteristics of the subjects involved, to develop the potential of each and guarantee the inclusion and educational success. Consequently, the training of teachers and of the Manager's Staff is a priority to guarantee a quality school, enriched by experiences in European teaching fields in order to achieve a broader professional development aimed at helping students, in a more motivating way, to "orient themselves ”More adequately in the world they live in. Furthermore, in our school, teachers are committed to enhancing the skills, attitudes and knowledge of pupils by implementing adequate interventions in relation to diversity to ensure that they do not become inequalities. Collaborative learning is encouraged to promote awareness of one's way of learning in order to "learn to learn". The implementation and definition of such a project can be achieved by acquiring a "European" mentality that leads to the implementation of new teaching and / or methodological tools and innovative disciplinary, transversal and organizational skills. Therefore, starting from an analysis of the socio-economic needs of the territory, and aware of the need for teaching aimed at the guiding value of the individual disciplines, especially during the first cycle of education, was prepared a unitary and vertical training curriculum able to recover the importance of the "work culture" according to an internationally oriented dimension that is able to effectively face the changes taking place at local, national and European level, improving the education system and rethinking it in an international and intercultural perspective.
