The ultimate aim of the Project was to foster motivation and wellbeing in the school so as to reinforce a sense of belonging to an institution that keeps update with the changing times and accounts for appreciation of diversities. The Mobility Plan envisaged one job-shadowing on STEM, and professional development courses in European acknowledged training centres for teachers and management. The main goal of the teachers' training was to acquire and share strategies and methods that could help students learn in the context of the 21st century. The philosophy behind our Erasmus Plan is a New Humanism, including arts, humanities, ICT, and economy, including transversal and global competences. Expected results included dissemination and experimentation of educational toolkits and methods in new learning environments that should be technological and inclusive. The training for Management focussed on internationalization of education, evaluation and accountability of projects, and implementation of policies concerning sustainability and the Green economy. Another goal of the Project was to increase its international cooperation.and actions along and within the framework of the UN 2030 Agenda.
Our organization has taken part in European programs for a long time, such as Pestalozzi CoE, E-Twinning,Comenius and Erasmus+.The European dimension has characterized many innovations implemented in the school, namely the creation of an international course and many other international projects and cultural exchanges. The Erasmus Plan devised in 2019 responded to the pressing and fast changes of the globalized world: the so-called exponential generation challenges traditional didactics and requires new strategies to develop key competences in a modernized educational setting. The plan envisaged teachers' professional development courses in the fields of didactic innovation, evaluation of students and strategies to foster acquisition of transversal competences, also learning from non-formal and informal educational settings. Special attention was devoted to STEM subjects and their didactics (including AI and robotics), without losing sight of other fundamental aspects such as inclusion and wellbeing. In fact the Plan involved also the Management and non-teaching staff so as to continue learning from European best practices for the implementation of policies concerning sustainability, governance and innovation of the physical space.
