The aim of the project was to promote well-being at school and therefore reduce early school leaving or transfer situations due to student discomfort. The specific objectives are the following: 1. promote the development of key skills intended above all in the relational-emotional sphere; 2. support the process of innovation and internationalization of the skills of school teachers; 3. promote the reduction of stress for teachers and students, also considering the effects of the pandemic; 4. facilitate the creation of a more harmonious relationship between teacher and student; 5. encourage the active and collaborative participation of students in support of a positive reception at school for all; 6. create a relaxed and happy atmosphere conducive to learning in the classroom.
Through the Stress@Calini project, the Liceo Calini Insitute intends to improve well-being at school and reduce the stress of pupils and teachers. The statistical analysis of the needs highlighted a transfer rate higher than the national average linked above all to relational problems between students and teachers and to the stress due to the high level of performance required. The teachers often felt unprepared to handle the frequent situations of anxiety of the students and sometimes showed little empathy and little ability to exploit each other's strengths. Added to this was the feeling of lack of time needed to do one's job well and the resistance to working in teams and in innovative ways. The health COVID-19 emergency had exacerbated relational difficulties and deprived the school of effective tools, restricting the educational space to the opportunities of surrogate means such as distance learning. Nonetheless, Liceo Calini, aware of its educational responsibilities and trusting that it would have training opportunities in the Stress@Calini Project, had taken action even before carrying out the mobilities to try to provide educational responses that were as valid and timely as possible.
