The project "Improving Teaching Skills for a European School" stemmed from the need to consolidate the internationalization of Liceo Scientifico F. Severi, improving the effectiveness and educational value of the didactic and formative activities of the school. The European Development Plan, included in the School Activity Plan (PTOF), underlines the importance of motivating teachers to carry out their teaching activities effectively and in an innovative way, in the belief that a teaching staff open to Europe and its most significant and updated themes in the field of education and didactic innovation can produce a consistent, effective and lasting impact both on pupils and the educational institution as a whole. The training of teachers in a European context is fundamental for the implementation of the objectives declared in the EDP which considers the development of effective linguistic and communicative skills in English as strategic for the training of young European citizens of the 21st century, also through digital media,e-learning and C.L.I.L. methodology and practice. The EDP also considers important the development of those transversal skills that can help students become participatory and responsible European citizens.
