Objectives

The KA1 project Orizzonte Europeo conducted in the years 2018/2021 made it clear that the priority need of our Institute was not only the mere acquisition of new teaching methodologies but rather that of skills regarding the implementation of effective school processes that lead "scientifically” to the creation of a learning environment conducive to the peaceful development of the students' personality. Ultimately, the medium-long term priority goal of the Institute improvement process must be the transition from a vision of the pupil as a "number" (based on a quantitative assessment) to a vision of the pupil as a "person" ( based on a formative assessment). This transition requires a deep review of the internal processes of the Institute, starting from the role of the teacher and his relationship with the class up to the different organization of times and spaces as well as the effective management of human resources. A radical change of "Perspective" in a European style, which this project aimed to initiate.

Background

The project Prospettiva Europea was created to give continuity to the growth and internationalization path started in the Institute way back in 2012 as part of the Comenius programme. Following the training and development path performed as part of the previous KA1 project "Orizzonte Europeo" carried out by the Institute in the 2018/2021 period, the project envisaged the general objective of leading teaching and non-teaching staff towards an european cultural transition - a "change of perspective" indeed - which goes beyond mere methodological training and observation of foreign educational systems to lead to a radical structural change in teaching and management strategies as well as in the arrangement of learning environments of our Institute. Alongside this, the experience gained through the KA229 project done in the 2019/2022 period required us to continue to train and enrich our cultural KA1 exchange experiences, in order to be able to implement new strategic partnership projects in the future that can expand the linguistic, cultural and social skills of our students.
