The objectives identified for this project, in line with the more general objectives defined within the European Development Plan (EDP), were: a) consolidation of planning and management skills for internationalization paths b) improvement of language skills (English and German) of teaching and non-teaching staff c) improvement in the use of innovative and interactive teaching methodologies also based on IT d) enhancement of disciplinary skills e) expansion of the network of schools and companies involved in international activities, together with familiarization with the respective school and business systems f) diffusion and strengthening of the sense of European dimension and identity within the institution g) enhancement of cultural and linguistic peculiarities, openness to intercultural dialogue The objectives indicated do not remain confined within the scope of this project, but represent incremental progress that connects with those of other projects, already underway and future, of the accreditation period (2021-2027), with a view to continuous improvement in the medium to long term.
The BRIDGE (Building Routes for International Development for Growing European) project was presented in Round 1 of the 2020 Call. The expected duration was originally 24 months (October 2020 - September 2022), but for delays in carrying out the mobilities, due to the COVID 2019 emergency, an extension of up to 30 months (March 2023) has been requested and obtained. The application for this project is part of the internationalization process that ITIS has been undertaking for several years now and which represents a strategic objective for the institute. In 2014, after having participated in several European projects, on the occasion of the presentation of a KA1 project, ITIS started drawing up a European Development Plan (EDP) which has been refined over the years and resulted in 2020 , a few months after the application for the present project, to the achievement of the accreditation both in the SCH and in the VET sectors. This project represents an important step in this growth path, aimed at consolidating, extending and enhancing the network of relationships and collaborations with schools, companies and institutions and, at the same time, at increasingly strengthening the staff's skills in a European context.
