The main objectives of the project had been identified with reference to objective data regarding the charateristics of the students. The objectives were the following: 1) Consolidating and implementing educational strategies and methodologies to promote inclusion and tackle early school leaving: a significative percentage of students in our school (32%) have special educational needs (disabilities, specific learning or developmental disorders, socio-economic disadvantage). 22% of students are of foreign origin. Moreover, many students live difficoult periods or risk early school leaving. Inclusion is therefore one of the main elements considered by the institute. 2) Consolidating and implementing the integration of technologies in teaching and educational practices in order to improve learning and to foster the acquisition by students of skills and awareness in the use of computer and technological tools, that are effective means of integration as they promote communication, help reduce gaps and stimulate curiosity and interest.
The application was submitted in order to continue our school internationalization process, to find opportunities for cooperation with schools from different countries, to provide school staff with opportunities for training and updating their knowledge, to improve teachers' competences in foreign languages, to improve teaching metholdologies and strategies and an effective use of IT tools.
