By carrying out the project we wanted: -Develop and promote a European dimension in schools, including through the use of e-twinning and other instruments for the exchange of good practice, in order to broaden and multiply the impact of mobility activities. -Integrate the skills and experience gained during mobility activities with other activities planned for the strategic development of the Institute. -Promote interdisciplinary activities aimed at the renewal of the student’s curriculum and policies of sharing experiences. -To improve and enhance IT and digital learning skills by encouraging the use of new technologies at school, by spreading the idea of lifelong learning (life-long learning) and extending the concept of school from physical place to virtual learning space as well as for future e-twinning projects and international partnerships. -Design educational pathways and interventions by improving the learning-teaching process by making it fit for the needs of students. -Improve the training of teaching staff and not of the institution.
The users of the Institute are heterogeneous due to the socio-economic context of origin with significant rates of dispersion and school failure. We work both to improve and strengthen learning environments and teaching methods, and to strengthen the area of inclusion and prevention of youth difficulties. Finally, given the consolidated tradition within the Lyceum of projects and activities of twinning, language internships, an increasing effort has been made to strengthen the internationalization of the school and the development of European citizenship. Erasmus+ funding has been requested for: encouraging teachers to keep up with European best practice, updating their teaching models, including through dialogue with European school workers, in order to introduce innovative methodologies capable of actively involving students in the learning-teaching process; ensure innovative learning paths for students by updating the professional skills of their teachers; training of ATA school staff in the field of European projects, in the management of short- and long-term mobility of teachers and pupils, both outgoing and incoming.
