Background

In the project, several actors involved in adult education, both formal and non-formal. It was important in our project, to foster points of contact between educators and teachers for the knowledge of the prisoner and adults in training. One of the problems we faced was the high and constant presence of prisoners of foreign origin, which poses linguistic and cultural, communication and relationship problems, not only in prisons but also in the wider field of adult education. Despite an important renewal of teaching methods and methods of communication and relationship, still in our reality, there was a need to improve the preparation of teachers. Moreover , The rates of schooling of the prisoners present in the penitentiary Institutes in Italy were very low and only 8/9% has a qualification equal to or higher than the high school qualification. For this reason, we have combined the world of formal education with the non-formal and informal, to make the way to , foster contact points between educators and teachers for the knowledge of the prisoner and adults with fewer chances in general.
