The main objective of this specific project was to improve the knowledge, skills and abilities in the use of the English language of the project participants. It is necessary to facilitate and increase the mobility of teachers, improve the quality of the education and training system through the adoption of innovative solutions that will allow disabled learners to improve training with respect to the skills needed by the European labor market. Operators, to help prepare their learners to become responsible in their roles as European citizens, need: experiences of mobility and cooperation in Europe, understanding the diversity of cultures and common values; understand and know the factors that create social cohesion and exclusion in society. The possibility of participating in an English language training course in an English-speaking country, in another culture with other traditions, gave participants the motivation to learn languages, develop transversal, professional and personal skills. By implementing this project, the main objectives have been achieved, which are to increase the mobility of trainers and the improvement of linguistic and transversal skills.

Background

The Association needed to improve the skills of staff and volunteers in the European area by participating in Erasmus plus KA2 Adult Education projects to be able to contribute to the improvement of skills and abilities of adults with disabilities. To be able to do this, the staff and some volunteers who have been involved in the implementation of the project have already been participating in English language courses on site. But it wasn't enough, it was necessary to go further, by participating in a language course in an English-speaking country to achieve a good level of oral and written communication of the English language in order to be able to compete at a European level with other institutions that have the same objectives as the Association.
