The overall objective of the project was to improve the digital skills of those involved in adult education in order to ensure a training offer capable of responding to the challenges of the digital transformation and to ensure a higher level of inclusiveness, accessibility and flexibility of formal and informal training paths, with a special focus on adult learners from disadvantaged groups. For this purpose, the EDA’n’EDA consortium aims to achieve the following specific objectives: - To foster the comparison and the exchange of good practices in digital adult education among organization from different Italian regions and different European countries. - To support adult educators in defining and implementing a transnational training path aimed at incorporating innovative digital practices in teaching, learning and skills assessment of target groups. - To differentiate the digital training offer in formal adult education settings, improving the capacity of the organizations involved to reach a wider number of learners, also by integrating non-formal training activities.
One of the most commonly shared needs of those involved in adult education in Europe is to expand the training offer on digital skills in order to respond to the needs of the different target groups, while at the same time the capacity to rapidly adapt methods and contents ahead of the constant digitalization process of the citizenship services, the labor market and the leisure. Therefore, the EDA’n’EDA project was presented as a response by EGInA, coordinator of the consortium, to the demand from several CPIAs and other entities active in the formal education of adults to get in touch with European organizations which could help strengthen the digital profile of their educators and volunteers by providing structured training paths and sharing good practices on five key aspects of adult education: 1. Improving and expanding the training offer 2. Ensuring a wider access to training and adult education paths 3. Increasing the quality level of the paths 4. Contributing to the development of a homogeneous validation system at a European level 5. Acting in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
