The needs and consequently the objectives of the project were formulated and shared in - reinforcement of European thinking - methodological comparison - professional growth - acquisition of new transversal and linguistic skills - confrontation with other cultures and new approaches - development of elements of change new methodologies and greater awareness of our territory - creation of new networks for future collaborations: international and local - generating social innovation, change, new perspectives
The project stemmed from the hosting in 2015 of several delegations from the LEB, Ländliche Erwachsenenbildung Thüringen e.V. in Weimar, Germany in the Empolese Valdelsa area, organised by MoverLab, with the involvement of numerous local organisations. Several times, a request was made to enjoy the same opportunities in foreign locations. For this reason, the Co&So consortium, which groups together cooperatives in the area, Auser, a voluntary association, and MoverLab, which organises European international mobility programmes, joined forces. The courses were held by LEB, Ländliche Erwachsenenbildung Thüringen e.V., an adult education organisation familiar from previous experiences. The thematic areas were chosen according to the needs of the local consortium partners and the offer from the transnational partner: civic engagement, dementia/ frail persons, inclusion of asylum seekers/refugees, policies against gender-based violence and support for women. The project aims to motivate participants to work more and more in local, but also European networks to produce a real mutual exchange with organisations at European level.
